PROGRAM MADANI RAKYAT (PMR) 2025 NEGERI SEMBILAN: "DIGITAL ACROSS GENERATIONS, EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES"
NILAI, 24 AUGUST 2025 – The National Month celebrations were enlivened with the organisation of the Program MADANI Rakyat (PMR) 2025 Negeri Sembilan, held from 22 to 24 August 2025 at Dataran Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. This small-scale programme was a strategic collaboration between the Ministry of Digital (KD) as the lead ministry, the Negeri Sembilan State Government as the host, and the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), Prime Minister’s Department, as the main secretariat.
The Opening Ceremony of PMR 2025 Negeri Sembilan was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister, on 23 August 2025, and was also attended by YAB Dato' Seri Utama Haji Aminuddin Harun, Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan, and YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital. PMR 2025 Negeri Sembilan is part of a nationwide series organised by the Federal Government as a platform to bring government services closer to the people. This edition was held under the theme “Digital Merentasi Generasi, Memperkasa Komuniti- Digital Across Generations, Empowering Communities”, reflecting the government’s commitment to ensuring that digital transformation benefits all segments of society, regardless of age or background.
The key highlights of PMR 2025 Negeri Sembilan featured a wide range of attractions and direct benefits for the people. More than 150 government services were made available directly to the public, alongside 21 booths from ministries and agencies showcasing interactive exhibitions. The programme also featured 40 Jualan MADANI entrepreneurs offering daily necessities at discounted prices ranging from 10 to 30 percent. In addition, the Digital Career Fair, with the participation of 10 employers, provided more than 500 job opportunities for job seekers.
Over the three (3) days of PMR 2025 Negeri Sembilan, a total of 179,928 visitors attended and benefitted from the wide array of services, opportunities, and activities offered. The strong turnout reflected the people’s solid support for the government’s efforts to deliver services in an inclusive and impactful manner.
More than 50 engagement programmes covering various current issues were conducted by ministries and agencies with visitors at both the main stage and booth stage. To encourage community participation, a variety of activities were also organised, including a free screening of Ejen Ali: The Movie, appearances by popular mascots such as Upin & Ipin and Boboiboy, cultural performances, local food sales through Selera Nogori, lucky draws, as well as mobile services by JPJ, PDRM, dental clinics, Wellness on Wheels, Cafe Teen, the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS), and many more.
In addition to the main venue, four (4) satellite programmes were organised to extend the reach and benefits to local communities. These included the Karnival Kita MADANI x PMR at Taman Semarak, Nilai on 16 August 2025; PMR Warga FELDA at FELDA Lui Timur, Jempol from 22 to 23 August 2025; the Program Belia Silat MADANI at Kolej Yayasan Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Pilah on 23 August 2025; as well as the Eksplorasi Perpaduan: Satelit MADANI Rakyat Negeri Sembilan 2025.
As the lead ministry, the Ministry of Digital together with its agencies, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), CyberSecurity Malaysia, National Digital Department (JDN), Department of Personal Data Protection (JPDP), MYNIC Berhad, Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB), and MyDIGITAL Corporation showcased a variety of technology-driven initiatives. Through these offerings, visitors had the opportunity to gain first hand insights into how technology can be harnessed in daily life, covering aspects such as personal data protection, digital economy opportunities, future talent development, as well as the role of 5G technology in accelerating internet access and expanding the potential of smart applications.
The Ministry of Digital hopes that the implementation of PMR 2025 will bring comprehensive benefits to the people. Socially, the programme enhances digital literacy, raises cybersecurity awareness, and bridges the gap between urban and rural communities. From an economic perspective, it creates job opportunities through the Digital Career Fair, promotes local entrepreneurs’ products, and stimulates the local digital economy. Meanwhile, in terms of skills development, it provides exposure to STEM and AI, digital entrepreneurship training, and awareness of secure digital identity. Overall, this approach nurtures a knowledgeable, skilled, and future-ready talent pool capable of meeting the challenges of the global digital economy.
In conjunction with the National Month 2025 celebrations, the organisation of PMR 2025 Negeri Sembilan also stands as a symbol of unity, patriotism, and love for the nation. Through a wide range of activities that engaged people from all walks of life, it reflected the spirit of Malaysia MADANI, which not only emphasises digital transformation but also unites the people in strong national solidarity. PMR 2025 Negeri Sembilan is envisioned as a catalyst for the people’s digital transformation, not merely a three-day programme, but a lasting legacy. This initiative builds public confidence in embracing technology, narrows the digital divide, and strengthens the relationship between the government and the people. In line with the National Month celebrations, it embodies unity, patriotism, and togetherness towards an inclusive, progressive, and competitive Malaysia MADANI.
